SENEGAL RELIGIOUS TV CHANNEL ACCUSES CULPRIT OF 'SATANIC TRICK' AFTER PORN SHOWN AT LUNCHTIME

Explicit sexual content appeared on privately-owned Touba TV channel on Monday for 20mins.
A religious TV channel in Senegal has filed a complaint after an incident led to a hardcore porn film being shown on Monday (20 March).
Explicit sexual content appeared on privately-owned Touba TV channel between 13:10 and 13:30 local time on Monday.
At first, the TV station said an inconvenient "network bug" had led to the porn film being broadcast.
However, the channel's management then said an unidentified culprit had sabotaged its programming in a "satanic trick", and filed a complaint with the office of the prosecutor.
"As a religious channel, the management of Touba TV and all our audience members are outraged and unreservedly condemn this criminal act which seems to be sabotage and a satanic trick designed to undermine a channel which is known to stand for Islamic values and teachings," the management said.
Asked to comment on the case, the president of the National Audiovisual Council (CNR), Babacar Toure told the daily L'Observateur spoke of "an incident that can happen to everybody".
The Digital Terrestrial Television (TNT) distributor of both Touba TV and the X-rated channel Boul Khol, Excaf Telecom did not react immediately, according to Senegalese Leral news website.
Islam is the predominant religion in Senegal, where some 92% of the population practice Sunni Islam.

TWO ARSENAL FANS DIVIDED OVER ARSENE WENGER'S FUTURE GIVE THEIR VIEWS

The 67-year-old has said he has made a decision but, following six defeats in nine games and with the club sitting sixth in the table, the Arsenal fan-base continues to become ever-increasingly split on whether they want the man who has delivered three Premier League titles and a record-equalling six FA Cups to remain in the job.
Press Association Sport's Mark Mann-Bryans sat down with two supporters with largely opposing views: Kane Hopps, a vocal protester who was labelled an 'idiot' by pundit Gary Neville for holding up an anti-Wenger sign, and Josh Landy from the 'Footballistically Arsenal' podcast who has a differing opinion on the Frenchman.
KH: "I am one of those protesters, I have been holding up banners. I don't necessarily think it is a good thing, I don't think it helps the club or comes across as good but as fans, I feel like to get our voice across to Wenger and the board I think it is the best way to do it."
JL: "But do you actually think the board are taking significant notice, will it impact whether he signs a new contract?"
Wenger ready to stay at Arsenal even without Champions League
KH: "The only way to make it clear is to do the protest because if we don't say something and the board all think it is rosy and no-one is saying anything, they will think they will have got away with it."
"In the past everyone has been a bit 'we want him to go' but they haven't been vocal, and he ends up signing a new contract.
JL: "We don't know. There is one example that we have got in recent times where a club has had a manager for 20 years, 25 years in Sir Alex Ferguson's case, and then has had a change. As predicted by many people it was incredibly difficult for the man who followed him."
"Is it that great where we are at the moment that, w ith the squad we have got, the money we have available to us and the facilities we have, I don't see us ever dropping out of the top six, top seven at worst."
KH: "I personally wouldn't be going and I think 20-30,000 others might join me..."

KELECHI STRIKES: AS SUPER EAGLES AND THE TERANGA LIONS FINISH 1-1

A spot kick from Kelechi Iheanacho was all the Super Eagles needed to force the Teranga Lions of Senegal to a one-all draw at The Hive ground in London on Thursday.
The Senegalese broke the deadlock through Moussa Sow in the 54th minute before the Eagles rallied for an equalizer late in the second half.
The Turkey-based midfielder landed awkwardly and was replaced by John Ogu, while Elderson Echiejile took over the captainship for Nigeria.
The Teranga Lions almost broke the deadlock in the 30th minute through Mbemgue, but his effort was saved by Akpeyi.
Moments later, a fabulous pass and move orchestrated by Ogu and Ndidi was wasted by Musa.
Again, Ogu and Ndidi stringed passes to free Iheanacho, but the City striker dragged his effort off target.
Iheanacho missed another chance to shoot Nigeria ahead as the half time approached, but the striker fluffed the opportunity as the first half ended goalless.
Idrissa Gueye wasted a good chance to double Senegal’s lead as he shot a left-footed effort wide.
In the 57th minute, Etebo came on for Iwobi, while Moses Simon made way for Isaac Success.
Astra Vein striker, Olanrewaju Kayode, also won his first national team cap.

NAIRA KEEPS SMILING: RISES TO N410 PER DOLLAR AT PARALLEL MARKET

The Nigerian Naira on Wednesday, March 22, gained massive 20 points against the American Dollar, Pound Sterling and 15 points against the Euro at parallel market.
According to reports, the Naira now trades at N410 per Dollar from the previous rate of N430.
The local currency also rose to N510 per Pound from the previous rate of N530 and N435 against the Euro as against the previous rate of N450.
The massive gain is coming as the Central Bank of Nigeria on Monday, March 20, injected additional 180 million dollars, since February when it started its intervention to meet bids for wholesale auction and requests for invisibles such as medicals, school fees and personal travel allowances.
Traders at the market said that they were happy with the performance of the Naira at the market, adding that it would lead to the fall in the prices of goods and services nationwide.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON) on Tuesday, March 21, in Lagos said the new Forex policy had eliminated frivolous demand for dollar.According to him, frivolous demand for dollar has been responsible for the weakness of the Naira.
Also, Emefiele Godwin, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said that the bank was optimistic to see the further convergence of the official and parallel market rates
“We are determined to see a greater convergence of the official and parallel market rates,’’ Emefiele said.Emefiele said this while fielding questions from newsmen at the end of the two- day Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting of the CBN in Abuja.
Meanwhile, reactions have trailed the Naira's gain against foreign currencies at parallel market.
Eze Mark Okafor on Facebook said: "Thanks be to God but it's still not too good to boast of."
Amos Ajabor on Facebook said: "How much was dollar when you take over govt? Shame on APC. Shame to your promise of dollar equal to naira."
Hrp Nwameze Meze O'George on Facebook said: "This is not a good news. It should strong enough to bear at par."
